Bungalow Conversion

As one of our more recent projects we developed a 1900′s bungalow situated on the end of a terrace of two story houses. The property was limited for space laid out over the ground floor with a large unused loft space. Our clients presented us with a design to remove the existing roof, build up the outside walls and and re-roof creating a first floor.

redbox worked with the architect and structural engineer to modify the design and used a timber frame solution to raising the existing masonry. This allowed for a quick initial build schedule keeping the weather protection and security of the building as high as possible at all times.

The new floor added three new bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room and airing cupboard to the house which as you can imagine has transformed the living space.
